The Legislature is that arm of government that is charged with the responsibility of making laws for the good governance of the country. The Legislative powers of the Federal Government are invested in the National Assembly which consist of a Senate (i.e. an Upper House) and a House of Representatives. The legislative powers of a state are vested in a unicameral legislative called House of Assembly. |
